🩺 Bronchoscopy & Allergy Awareness Meeting

We recently organized a highly productive meeting with a General Practitioner (GP) focusing on two key areas: bronchoscopy procedures and comprehensive allergy awareness. The goal was to foster a deeper understanding of these crucial aspects of respiratory and immunological health among attendees.
The discussion on bronchoscopy & thoracoscopy was mainly diagnostic work up for lung conditions like pneumonia , Lung cancer, pleural effusion .we had detailed discussion on indications, preparation, and diagnostic values . We also covered the patient experience and post-procedure care, ensuring a holistic view of this invasive diagnostic tool. Equally valuable was the segment dedicated to allergy awareness by Dr. Aditi Shah .The GP provided an overview of common allergens, symptoms of various allergic reactions (from mild to anaphylactic), and the available diagnostic methods, such as skin prick testing and drug challenge test, CRD . A significant portion of the conversation focused on management strategies, including avoidance techniques, immunotherapy and biologicals like omalizumab and also the importance of having an Epinephrine auto-injector for severe reactions. Overall, the session was a success, significantly boosting our knowledge on effectively identifying, diagnosing, and managing conditions related to the lungs and immune system.
